Meet Emily.

Hello to each of you ladies who has lived life long enough to be 55, or 65, or 75 or more!

I want you to know why I started KenKar. My goal is to offer you a shirt that provides fluid motion while exercising, which also lends itself to being elevated through accessories to match your venue as you move throughout your day.

When I retired from my teaching position I knew that it was important for me to keep active in my quest for my best quality of life. I joined a gym, where I alternated between Zumba classes and working on the machines. As I moved and stretched and strengthened my body, I couldn't help but notice that women in my age group, Baby Boomers, were not looking their best.

They wore clothing meant for the perfect body (which they had not yet attained) or they wore busy tees with scenes from their travels. Even the plain shirts I was wearing were not the answer because the cuts were not intended for the movement required during exercise.

So Ladies, forget about those skimpy shirts or the spandex laden tops ... that is all in the past. Now is the time to focus on finding items that have more coverage where we need it the most ... in the upper arms, and a bit more length in the back. These shirts have a comfortable, slightly lower neckline, making them much more flattering than other tees.

I spent endless hours looking through a wide variety of store racks, as well as performing countless on-line searches only to be disappointed in what was available. What I came away with was the certainty that "something is missing." That something is the versatile shirt which KenKar is offering to the mature woman!
